F.A.Q.
Q: I have never ordered a web site before, where do I start?
A: The whole process is extremely easy. A lot of our clients have little or no experience of the internet and the world of e-commerce. We specialize in helping web novices. You can discuss your ideas and requirements with an account manager who will explain the process and tell you what information we need from you in order to get started.
Q. What kind of information will you need from me?
A. It all depends on the package you choose.Every one of our packages, except for the DIY options, includes customised, professional design - tailor-made to your specifications. You can provide a sketch, hard-copy artwork or suggestions of sites you admire. Alternatively you can give us a few style ideas and descriptions of the type of 'look' you're trying to achieve.
At very minimum we require the text for each page, although for a small extra fee we can provide this as well.
Q. How do I send you pictures?
A. You can post, email or send pictures on a disk. Please label the pictures - clearly indicating which page of your website they are to go on.
Q. How do I send the text?
A. The quickest way to get text onto your website is if it is emailed or sent to us on a disk/CD. You can also post it in printed form but please allow 2 extra days for typing. As with pictures, text should be clearly labelled with page 1, page 2, etc (or with the title of the relevant page -e.g. 'About Us').
Q. How do I pay?
A. We require a 50% deposit for projects under £250 and 30% for all other projects. This is refundable in the initial stages of the project if you don't like the preliminary designs. You can pay by Credit, Debit Card, Cash, Cheque or Postal Order. If you pay in full upfront we can offer a further discount.
Q. Why do you need a deposit?
A. Our prices are among the lowest - if not the lowest - in the UK. Most companies increase their prices by 10% - 30% to cover bad debt. We feel it is unfair to penalise the majority of honest shoppers, therefore instead of charging higher prices we ask for a small deposit to commence the project. We provide full tax invoices and can provide official quotes which are often required for funding applications. (Many of out clients are public sector or charity)
Q. What Happens Then?
A. Once we have your information our designers will begin work. We usually have a draft design ready for your approval within 3-4 days. It will normally be emailed to you, but we can also post it out.
If you like the draft we then create the site in the same style or change it until you are completely satisfied. If we can't achieve what you are looking for we offer a 100% guaranteed refund at this stage of the process. This is an offer we make to all our clients but it has yet to be taken up!
Q. How long does the process take?
A. It really depends on the complexity of your site. Our average times are listed below, although we also offer an express service.
We would normally provide a mock-up within 2 -5 days. Completing the site, on approval, takes between 3 - 7 days for standard sites; 7 -21 days for shops and 7- 31 days for database systems.
Once we receive final payment the site is switched live.
Q. Where are your offices.
A. Our head office is in Shorerditch, Central London. We can see clients here between 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday - by appointment only. We also have offices in Hastings & Birmingham.
Q. Can you register the site with search engines?
A. Yes, we include a basic package of 100 main engines with all sites. An express 'bulk service' is also available - this covers a further 825,000 engines, directories and link pages
